The apropos lyrics of a circa 1983 song by the Australian group, Men At Work, titled “It’s a mistake” are dedicated to those who happen to erroneously believe that many-body collective effects can safely be ignored for LENRs in condensed matter systems.
A link is provided to a URL on YouTube where the audio soundtrack from the “Cargo” album is integrated with a synchronized video that is quite entertaining to watch. The video could easily be subtitled, “The War of two paradigms.” Please note that this document is intended to make a point by injecting a little light-hearted levity into an otherwise deadly-serious discussion about an ongoing multi-year struggle between old and new paradigms in science a la Thomas Kuhn. Enjoy.

“It’s a mistake”
Written and recorded in Australia by Men at Work
From “Cargo” album (1982)
Jump down the shelters to get away! The boys are cocking-up their guns!
Tell us General, is it party time? If it is can we all come?
Don't think that we don't know. Don't think that we're not trying. No, no, no.
Don't think we move too slow.
It's no use after crying, saying it’s a mistake, it's a mistake. It’s a mistake, it's a mistake.
After the laughter has died away … and all the boys have had their fun.
No surface noise now, not much to say … we have the bad guys on the run.
Don't try to say you're sorry … don’t say he drew his gun.
They've gone and grabbed old Ronnie … he's not the only one.
Saying, it’s a mistake, it's a mistake. It's a mistake, it's a mistake.
Tell us Commander, what do you think? 'Cause we know you love all that power.
Is it on then, are we on the brink? We wish you'd all throw in the towel.
We'll not fade out too soon. Not in this finest hour.
Whistle your favorite tune. We'll send a card and flower.
Saying, it’s a mistake, it's a mistake. It's a mistake.
Oh, no, it’s a mistake. It's a mistake!

Michael Klare ‘s words of warning describe another type of mistake as it relates to the conduct of foreign policy by certain governments
“Make no mistake: Rising powers/shrinking
planet is a dangerous formula.
Addressing the interlocking challenges of resource competition,
energy shortages, and climate change will be among the most
difficult problems facing the human community.
If we continue to extract and consume the planet's vital resources in the
same improvident fashion as in the past, we will, sooner rather than later,
transform the earth into a barely habitable scene of desolation.
And if the leaders of today's Great Powers behave like
those of previous epochs - relying on military instruments
to achieve their primary objectives ---
We will witness unending crisis and
conflict over what remains of value on our
barren wasteland.”
“Rising Powers, Shrinking Planet: The New Geopolitics of Energy”
