2. During the Second World War, August 6, 1945 at 8:15 am U.S. bomber B-29 "Enola
Gay" was dropped atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. About 140 000 people were
killed in the explosion and died within months. Three days later, when the United
States dropped another atomic bomb on Nagasaki, killing about 80 000 people.
August 15 Japan surrendered, putting an end to this World War II. To date, this
bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the only case of use of nuclear weapons in
human history. The U.S. government has decided to drop their bombs, believing that
this will accelerate the end of the war and will not need to run long bloody battles
