 Our main aim is to create new teaching
  strategies using games as a didactic tool.
  Game increases mental capacities and
  creativity. It also promotes communication,
  socialization and cooperation.

 Promoting interdisciplinar teachers
  teamwork to create our games.

 To rescue popular games in order to learn
  about the lore and traditions of other
  cultures, to increase tolerance and European

We invent different games with cards that are representing art tools and activities
LOOKING FOR YOUR PAIR




We deal pairs of the same image for pupils and they have to ask question in
order to find who has his/her match.

                    In group, pupils create a
                    painting by dropping colours

 It is a fun way to teach the
  primary, secondary, and
  tertiary colors in order to do
  a color wheel



 Pupils place a drop of each
  colour onto the corresponding
  dot on the paper.
 Pupils mix the colors in
  each circle using a
  toothpick for each
  circle.




 Once all the circles of
  color are mixed
  together, place a paper
  towel over the paper.

Work in groups of three or four students

Based on “El juego de la oca” (a Spanish
traditional board game), we create boards
that allow us to play and learn traditions
(bullfighting, fallas,…) and monuments of
our country

 In literature classes, pupils do a little research of traditional
  sayings and aphorisms.
 They share the knowledge they ´ve found.
 Then they do representations for the whole class of a saying
  by reciting it.
 Other pupils in the class can draw the meaning of the saying
  that is presented.
 That´s how integration between two subjects happens

Pupils choose a picture. Have to find information about the picture
and to do an index card: time, author, technique, place where it
is, size, personal opinion,…
So, they have to do an interpretation cutting color papers.

This work is focused mainly on determining the bonds that exist among play and art in these
days. This relation has its origin in the historical avant-garde movements. In search of the
new and guided by their transgressor spirit, these movements, cause the artists to
recuperate for art the concept of play

Pupils choose three or four elements (letters or shapes) and
changing the colour, size and the way, they have to organize

- Individual work

-We start with a modular network, we
make cuts and set up the
paper, thus, we pass from the plane to
the volume
-Work in groups

-Material: cardboard pen

-Each student creates a
  module individually, this
  module changes its
  size, shape and color.

 -We put them together and
 create a mural composition .
 - All the pupils make a mural
  on wall

 -Material: insulating tapes of
  dif ferent colours

 The teacher introduces new food
  words.

 In pairs, students choose 10
  new words and write them
  scrambled on pieces of paper.

 The pieces of paper are handed
  out to another pair.

 Now they must unscramble and
  guess the new words.
We use also traditional oral
games using rythm to learn
new words (whole class
activity).

We play guessing games to
know what food is our mate
thinking about, using new
words.(e,g.Can you boil it?)

Then pupils make posters in
teams of three.
Then they write their
 recipes.

Finally, they record
  their recipes or
  explain them in
  class in three steps:
ingredients, kitchen
utensils, process.

IRREGULAR VERBS BOARD GAME (3R

Two against two game.

Six tokens are placed at each end of
the board, in each square.

Dice are thrown and tokens are
moved. Pupils must know the three
forms of the verb in the box or lose
their turn to the other team.

If two counters fall in the same box,
they must begin again.

Pupils must cross the board and
 reach the other end with their
counters.
Of course, level of difficulty can be
adjusted to pupils’.

  • 4.  Our main aim is to create new teaching strategies using games as a didactic tool. Game increases mental capacities and creativity. It also promotes communication, socialization and cooperation. OUR AIMS  Trying to encourage pupils to take part in the educative process.  Promoting interdisciplinar teachers teamwork to create our games.  To rescue popular games in order to learn about the lore and traditions of other cultures, to increase tolerance and European knowledge.
  • 5. ART DEPARMENT ACTIVITIES WITH YOUNGER PUPILS 11-12 years old
  • 7. MATERIALS AND INSTRUMENTS FOR DRAWING AND PAINTING We invent different games with cards that are representing art tools and activities
  • 8. LOOKING FOR YOUR PAIR We deal pairs of the same image for pupils and they have to ask question in order to find who has his/her match.
  • 9. ACTION PAINTING ACTIVIT Y (JACKSON POLLOCK) In group, pupils create a painting by dropping colours over a canvas.
  • 10. PLAYING WITH CARDS ABOUT LINES, SHAPES, COLOR, TEXTURES In order to get to know the elements of art, we play with cards with images which represent different kinds of lines, shapes, textu res and colour
  • 11. DRAWING MUSIC Af ter showing dif ferent kinds of lines and how it is used by ar tist, pupils will listen to some pieces of music which they will have to interpret drawing lines
  • 13. COLOR WHEEL ACTIVIT Y  It is a fun way to teach the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors in order to do a color wheel  Pupils place a drop of each colour onto the corresponding dot on the paper.
  • 14.  Pupils mix the colors in each circle using a toothpick for each circle.  Once all the circles of color are mixed together, place a paper towel over the paper.

SAYINGS AND APHORISMS  In literature classes, pupils do a little research of traditional sayings and aphorisms.  They share the knowledge they ´ve found.  Then they do representations for the whole class of a saying by reciting it.  Other pupils in the class can draw the meaning of the saying that is presented.  That´s how integration between two subjects happens
  • 32. ART AND HISTORY ACTIVITIES RELATED WITH ART HISTORY Pupils will know through their works,different artistic styles and famous painters
  • 33. TABLEAU VIVANT  Pupils must choose a picture which they feel identified with. Af ter studying the ar tist, they have to dress like the people in the image and to pose like them.  The final work is to film this actions by stop motion.
  • 34. KNOWING FAMOUS PAINTERS Pupils choose a picture. Have to find information about the picture and to do an index card: time, author, technique, place where it is, size, personal opinion,… So, they have to do an interpretation cutting color papers.
  • 35. TRADITIONAL GAMES AND ART There are many painters who have used the game as a subject of their art. Pupils have to look for artists who do that and investigate them

  • 48. PLAYING WITH THE PLANE - Individual work -Material: paper -We start with a modular network, we make cuts and set up the paper, thus, we pass from the plane to the volume
