The Microsoft Kinect for Windows SDK Beta from Microsoft Research is created specifically for computer scientists, scientific researchers in academia, and technical enthusiasts who are interested in creatively exploring NUI possibilities with the Kinect sensor and related technologies.

The SDK Beta is licensed under the terms of the license agreement for Microsoft Kinect for Windows SDK Beta from Microsoft Research. The SDK Beta is licensed for non-commercial use only. By installing, copying, or otherwise using the SDK Beta, you agree to be bound by the terms of its license. In all cases, the SDK Beta must be installed only on the developers, researchers, hobbyists, or students computer.

Under the SDK Beta license agreement, you cannot redistribute any of the components of the SDK Beta (other than certain source code samples provided with the SDK Beta, as provided in the license agreement). If someone would like to run your application on another PC, he must download and install the SDK Beta on that PC.
