The Spanish for teachers Course consist in 5 lessons daily

12. Appartments : the possibility to live in shared furnished apartment, in
individual rooms (or double if you come with two friends). The minimum
duration is 2 weeks. The students or the participants of our courses can
reserve an apartment for them or search by themselves another type
of accomodation. Thus you shared your life with 3, 4 or 5 people of the
Institute. You have in common: a living room where you can meet or watch
television, a kitchen to prepare your meals and one or more bathroom.
That means that you will live with people of different nationality and that
you will endeavour to speak Spanish.
SPANISH FAMILY
Immerse yourself in the Spanish language and culture by having us arrange your
accommodations with a host family. Almost 80% students choose to live with a
host family during the first weeks of their program..
Staying with a host family is an important and rewarding part of the student’s
learning process. The students receive their own house key and are only requi-
red to bring their own towels. Students can choose half-board or full-board, as
accommodation in a single or a double room. If there is more than one student
with a family we will look for an international roommate in order to encourage
the use of Spanish 24 hours a day. To select the type of accommodation that
suits you best or to inform us of any special (nutritional) needs, you can indica-
te your preference on the bottom of the registration form.
Living with a Spanish host Family: we ask
that you reserve your accommodation at least 2 weeks in ad-vance. Malaga and
Alicante are popular tourist destinations and if you are booking your accom-
modation during high season we advise you to make the reservation as soon
as possible. We do accept last minute reservations if there is space, please check
accommodation availability with us.
Hotels, Pensions or No Accommodation: If you wish we can help you find
a hotel or pension which meets your requirements. If you prefer any other
accommodation or arranged your own accomodation this of course is no
problem at all.

13. SPANISH COURSES FOR SCHOOL GROUPS
Alhambra-Instituto runs closed class courses for school or college groups during the
school year. We offer Spanish teachers the chance to partake in the rewarding experience
of taking students abroad to study Spanish in one of our schools. Of course Alhambra-Ins-
tituto also offers you and a group of friends, colleagues or fellow-students the possibility
to book a group-course with an interesting discount.
Our courses are designed to suit your academic requirements following your own school
syllabus. We combine your academic requirements with a cultural experience by orga-
nising different activities and excursions around Andalusia. This encourages students
to practice their Spanish in real life situations and to increase one’s oral skills and boost
confidence in speaking Spanish.
We have a wide range of programmes for you to choose from, but we can also design a
unique course“tailor made“ for you. We offer a truly personalised, tailor-made service.
With our assistance you can design your programme to suit your requirements and help
your students make the most of their new and exciting learning experience. Your students
will take home some fantastic memories of their time in Spain and we guarantee that 1 or
2 weeks with Alhambra Instituto will make a difference to your student’s performance and
confidence!.
What ever your level of Spanish language, from Elementary to Proficient we have a cour-
se that will stretch and develop your linguistic abilities in modern, bright well equipped
classrooms with students of similar language levels.
For the larger groups, consisting of 15 or more students, Alhambra-Instituto offers custom-
ized programmes and significantly reduced prices. We can provide tailor-made program-
mes for your group which can also include a range of guided tours and excursions, a
leisure program, parties and sporting activities that can shed a different light on the
Spanish language and culture.
HOMESTAY ACCOMMODATION
Most students from Groups stay with host families who live within walking distance of the
school. Students will have breakfast and lunch at home. Our hosts families welcome stu-
dents throughout the year and are experienced with teenagers and students of all ages.
ACTIVITIES AND EXCURISIONS FOR SCHOOL’S GROUPS
It is possible to include a number of excursions to famous locations, such as Sevilla,
Granada, Cordoba, Ronda-Marbella, Gibraltar, Madrid... It is also important to experience
the local attractions and cultural history in your chosen location, so when making your re-
servation, please ask us for some suggestions and prices or ask for a copy of our optional
excursions handbook.
Discover what Malaga has to offer, with a range of beach activities, outdoor sports, cultural
visits and leisure opportunities.
Combining Spanish Language learning with a short holiday is an ideal way to expand your
horizons and improve your Spanish at the same time.

At Alhambra Instituto we have created a Mini Stay Programme to suit most ages where
you can enjoy all the cultural variety that Spain has to offer together with a stimulating
course that will enhance your language skills.

14. EXCURSIONS
Alhambra organizes barbecue/paella once a week. The
students get the opportunity to cook typical Spanish food
and of course enjoy eating it afterwards.
We take our students on cultural activities like guided tours
through the city centers to visit the theatre and festivals,
carnivals etc. Anything which will make our students fami-
liar with Spanish culture and history.
Our students get the pleasure of typical Spanish tapas on
one of our“Tapas safaris”, a guided tour into the world of
the“Bares de Tapas”.
Salsa and Flamenco are latin dances that are appreciated all
over Spain. At Alhambra Instituto we offer workshop of a
flamenco dance class for beginners.
Our schools offer movies in our modern media hall. The
movies are shown in Spanish with English subtit-
les. All the activities help students to improve their
Spanish in their free time. everything to improve the
Spanish even on the free time.

students. It is clear that extra-curricular activities and excursions are greatly appreciated by students , not just as an
opportunity for all the students to get to know one another better, but also to gain a better understanding of the

16. By Airplane
By Bus, Train or Car
The Málaga Airport is accessible from most of the mayor European and International airports. You can take the Bus
from the airport to the centre of Málaga (Paseo del Parque stop) for 1 euro. Every 20 minutes.
If you are comming to one of our destinations by bus, train (from
Madrid and Barcelona you have AVE speed train) or car we can give
you detailed information on how to get to the school as quickly and

You will find the bus stop on the forecourt outside the new Mala-
ga Airport
Terminal 3. You will also see a new booth/ticket office there whe-

The Malaga City Bus line A goes right into Malaga City (but stops
quite a few times, the last stop is“Paseo del Parque”). The first
bus leaves the airport around 07:00 on most days and the last
