On Wednesday, January 12 at 7:00 p.m., Kay McKeen, Executive Director and founder of the environmental education organization SCARCE (School and Community Assistance for Recycling and Composting Education) located in DuPage County, awarded an Earth Flag to Roselle Public Library District. <p>
The Library “Green Team,” organized and motivated by Circulation Department Head Christy Snyders in September of 2009, led the way as Roselle Public Library staff successfully completed each environmentally friendly task on the path to earning the Earth Flag. <p>
The Roselle Public Library District “Green Team” and staff continue to actively promote environmental education for the community through programming, informational displays, positive environmental practices in the Library, and adding to the Library’s collections of materials on environmental issues.<p>
