can’t be seen on the web surfer .

characteristics of the Web page.
Meta tags have a nifty way of being able to store
information that are descriptive data in tag
attributes. Meta tags are placed between the
head tags of an HTML document, so they're easy
to find and search engine robots but aren't
displayed in the Web browser window.

purposes:

Describes what HTML.
Speculates the following page.
Draws attention to keywords.
Highlight ‘s the page description, etc.
