Iain is a first year student studying a broad Digital Culture course. He feels unprepared for work after graduation because his course covers many topics rather than specializing in one or two areas. Iain and his classmates complained to tutors about the broad course structure but it was not changed. While the course relates to future jobs, it does not help Iain determine a specific career path. Iain wants more influence over the course design so he can develop career-focused skills.
