How it is placed in the museum. Gallery 4, Toledo Glass Pavilion. Clear signs of use/age on the interior of the bowl. Fabric foot seems to be worn, or maybe the fabric was a later refurbishment.
Assume it is a betrothal glass that originally had a cover and was used for sweetmeats or other food, but not for drinks or wine.
Gold leaf gilding, enameling is apparent. The painted scene is extremely intricate. Triumph of Fame.
