WHAT IS CLEP?
 Test to receive college credit on various subjects
 33 different CLEP exams
 Administered by College Board
 90 minute computer based exam
 Mainly multiple choice, some essay questions
 $80 test fee
CLEP SCORES
 Multiple-choice tests are scored immediately by the computer
 Essays are scored by two or more English professors
  Takes 3 – 4 weeks
 1 correct answer = 1 point
  Raw score – number of answers correct
  Scale score – equated score that adjusts raw scores based
   on test difficulty
    Scale score is reported score
 Scores range from 20 – 80
 Test takers can choose where they would like their scores sent
 when taking the exam

CLEP SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS
1. Check examinees ID.
2. Log onto the main computer under the “testadmin” user.
3. Click Start, All Programs, Test Delivery Management System, Start
   TDMS Server
4. Click Start.
5. When green writing appears, minimize the programs.
6. Click Start, All Programs, Test Delivery Management System, Open
   Administrative Workstation
7. Login using your assigned username and password.
8. To verify the test taker, click Registration.
9. Fill in appropriate information excluding social security number.
CLEP SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS
1. Go to the test taker’s computer
2. Login under “testadmin” user.
3. Click Start, All Programs, Test Delivery
   Management System, Open Testing
   Workstation.
4. Login using your assigned username and
   password.
5. Assign a workstation number (based on which
   computer test taker will be located).
6. Check test taker’s ID and allow them to get
   started by following the instructions on the
   screen.
AFTER CLEP INSTRUCTIONS
1. When the test taker is finished, their score report will print, which is
   their copy to keep. A copy of “What My Score Means” will also print,
   which was previously displayed as a link for you to view.
2. Close all testing workstations on the test taker’s computer.
3. Go to the main computer and open Administrative Workstation (should
   still be open on this computer).
4. Click End of Day, OK, Proceed, Done, Accept, OK
5. Then Click Shutdown, OK, Stop Workstation, OK
6. Pull server back up click STOP then EXIT.
7. The End of Day summary report will print at this time.
8. File in correct CLEP Folder.
