The Perfect Keywords VS The Worst Keywords!
1. The Perfect Keywords VS The Worst
Keywords!
Let the battle begin:
Keyword research comes FIRST in your SEO campaign. You want to spend as much time as
possible doing keyword research – use as many tools as you can - don’t just use Google’s free tool,
if you afford it spend money on paid tools like Wordtracker, etc.
Why?
Because you want to uncover keywords with little competition and high traffic volume… paid tools
allow you to find data for thousands of keywords so chances of finding that best possible ones
increases!
Once you have the right keywords you want to rank for half the battle is already won. Now your
mind is at easy, you don’t have to worry because now once you get top ranked you’re going to GET
targeted traffic!
But if you try to rank for a random keyword that pops in your head you’re doing the job in a risky
way – you may never get top ranked, you may never get any traffic – or worse you get top ranked but
still the traffic you get will NOT convert into leads/sales or take the action you want.
The latter is because you may have chosen the wrong keywords.
People search for some keywords with absolutely no intention of buying now or ever! The
obvious of these type of keywords are generic keywords.
Let’s use the classical example: dog food
People could be thinking for a million different things when searching for dog food. Some may want
to read articles, others look for a list of places to shop offline or online, others for just the sake
of it because they love their blog.
So if you’re selling a dog food ebook chances are high 90% of them will not buy it or even care.
But if you try to rank for a keyword like:
best food for my dog
The searcher is clearly looking for a specific thing… so you now at least you know what they clearly
want!
So you have to keep trying to find the RIGHT keywords for the PRODUCT you’re selling. They have
to MATCH and FIT together keyword with product. So when they type it in the search engine and
then click and come to your website BOOM you have a perfect prospect!
So keep digging and digging for the best possible keywords. Don’t try to fight the system
2. it’s just how it works you have to get ranked for the keywords that will get you
TARGETED TRAFFIC who are VERY LIKELY to take the ACTION (buy, optin, etc) you want them
to take on your website.
This looks very simple and it indeed is! The only way to become good at it is to practice it out.
