My dear brother:
I received your letters and phe pictures. With plea-
sure I answer wishing you and your daughter a happy
year.
Here I am well some days and some days not so well,
suffering my poverty.
I wrote to Estela, the wife of Gabriel, advising her
that Antonio, the husband of Dorotea, is selling the
lot of my "mad7tTina"saying that he is the only owner.
You write to Es ieIa to not let it go ("disimule")
because the same thing will happen to her as hpppened
to us with our fathers inheritance. Antonio was a
prisioner in the peneteniary and came out badly in
need of money. Tell them to send .me a power of at-
torney so that I may represent her. I can sell the
property and sen~ them the money. They should wait
no longer or they will lose ite
You can be my witness that I will not keep the money.
With nothing more I send my regards to Gloria and
you and the affection of your sister.
