Introduction
In our modem society, anxiety and
maladjustment are considered to be psychological
problems and have reached to a high level in their
magnitude.As a social creature, man has to face many
situations in life which might lead to satisfactions and
sometimes to frustrations. Frequent frustration may
lead to the development of anxiety.
In every aspect of human experience, we can
see anxiety playing a significant role. Every human
beingissubjectedtorealorimaginablethreatsthatmay
produce the state of anxiousness. It has often been
said that this century is being referred to as the age of
anxiety because of technological advancements in
differentfields.
Along with anxiety, goes the concept of
adjustment which is equally important. Freud pointed
out anxiety as the crucial problem of emotional and
behavioraldisorders.Itisnowbeingtakenasawarning;
itimpliesdangerformwithin.Hencetolivepeacefully
in society, one should be free form anxiety and should
try to make adjustments as far as possible. So, this
studybecomethemoreimportanttofindouttheanxiety
andadjustmentlevelsofmaleandfemalepupilteachers
so that required necessary step can be taken to check
and reduce the intensity of anxiety and bring to its
tolerablelimitswhereitactsasamotivationalforcefor
self-adjustment.
Plan And Procedure:
All the B.Ed. students constituted the
populationforthepresentstudy.Thesampleconsisted
of 50 B.Ed. students out of which 25 were male and 25
were female. Sample was selected by using purposive
sampling technique.

The investigator visited different colleges of Haryana.
The data was collected using the above mentioned
tools t-test was used to find out the significance of the
difference between the means.
Results
The calculated value of ‘t ratio’ was 1.75. It
was less than table value with df =18 at 0.05 level of
significant.Itmeansthatthereisinsignificantdifference
inemotionaladjustmentlevelbetweenmaleandfemale
pupil teachers (high anxiety scorers) of Haryana.

The calculated value of ‘t ratio’ was 2.34. It
was greater than table value with df 11 0.0d level of
significant but at 0.01 level is 3.11. It means that there
isinsignificantdifferenceinemotionaladjustmentlevel
between male and female pupil teachers (average
anxiety scorers) of Haryana. See Table 3
The calculated value of ‘t ratio’ was
0.75.Itwaslessthantablevaluewithdf=15at0.05level
of significant. It means that there is insignificant
differenceinemotionaladjustmentlevelbetweenmale
and female pupil teacher (low anxiety scorers) of
Haryana.
CONCLUSION:
Now-a-days the society, the educational
institutions, the school, the college, the family are also
complex that the students are facing a sort of problems
intheirdailylireinrelationtotheiradjustment,anxiety
and academic achievement. It is the responsibility of
theresearchers,teachersandparentsthattheproblems
shouldbeidentifiedverysoonandimmediateremedial
measures should be provided to the students of the

betterment of their lives. Students of the low anxiety
possess better adjustment and academic achievement
than high anxiety group of students.
· The programme in educational institutions
should be arranged that they would generate self
confidence among the students who lack it.
· The parents are explained the importance of
the better environment at home which will be
instrumental in the better development of adjustment
and reducing anxiety.
· For the well adjustment of the students the
creative potentially and talents in them should be

Table value of ‘t ratio’at df 15 at 0.05 level is 2.13
identified so that the individual may be encouraged to
adjusthimselfinthesociety,homeandschools,colleges
and university.
· Itisthedutyoftheeducationistsfirstlytofind
out the low anxious their personal, social, emotional,
college and family adjustment should be assessed by
psychological tests am inventories. Immediate action
and remedies should be suggested to overcome
maladjustment and anxiety in them.
· More suitable educational facilities should
be provided to the student with low adjustment and
high anxiety so that can achieve success in every field
oflifeintheircareer.
