This document provides an overview of the topics that will be covered in a forensic science course for the year. 3. Crime Scenes & Evidence Collection Crime scenes are about careful observations. Evidence collection is about details. All evidence must be collected in specific manners and carefully logged.

4. Physical Evidence All of these are pieces of physical evidence, as well as much more.

8. Microscopy From old to new, all can still be used today. The one on the right is a comparison microscope.

10. Fingerprinting Everyone has unique fingerprints. These can be the keys to solving a crime. The trick becomes trying to find and develop them.

16. Firearms, Tool Marks & Impressions A lot of comparisons go into the anaylaysis of these.
