What is a Character? *Characters-People represented in a story. *Main Character- The person that the events in the story include.
*EXAMPLES OF CHARACTERS- ,[object Object]
Acharacterin One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish is Gack. The story is not about him, but he is in the book.,[object Object],[object Object]
EXAMPLES OF AN ILLUSTRATOR- *Dr. Seuss is an illustrator because he draws all the pictures for his books. *Most authors do not draw their own pictures.
What is the main idea? The main idea is the most important part of the story. Ask yourself- What is the story really about? EXAMPLES OF THE MAIN IDEA? In The Cat in the Hat the weird cat plays with the kids. In The Loraxthey recycle things.
