2. • The music video I am analysing is a Nicki Minaj music video . The music
genre is hip-hop R&B , theses characteristics of those genres are shown
in the music video as everything is very bold and glossy . You can tell
that the artist is very popular as the music video look very expensive
and glamorous attracting a wide audience. The Flashy cars , the
colourful make up , the big ice sculptures ,the stacks of money and the
pool made out of ice just shows a big mainstream artist in the R&B
industry spend a lot on music videos to sell their music

3. • The relationship between the lyrics
and the visuals are shown throughout
most of the song ,most details that the
artists’ describes in the song in big
detail is illustrated in the song just as
the are defined in the songs lyrics , so
as you would imagine the lyrics in
your head they are revealed in the
music video as you may think or • Although the bright pink and orange
feathers have nothing to do with the
better. As the music video is very music video it fits in , well and looks as if
glamorous and exciting with the it should be in the video.

the changes pace with the music
. I enjoyed looking at this music
video as I found that as the
music was very up beat and fast
the different shots featured in
the music kept up with the
music making the music video
more interesting , also the mise-
en-scene in the music video is
very unique as everything is very
over exaggerated and such
having a ice sculpture of a
motorbike , the ice speakers
, and also the different coloured
wigs worn by the females in the
music video from green, to pink
to white , But all these things fit
into the music video as the
change is quick .

5. • There are many close ups of
the artist in the music video
as shown in the pictures on
the side taken from the video.
I ponder on the fact that the
record company wish to sell
this track easily because the
music video is very glamorous
and interesting as it is fast
pace . Looking at the artist
Nicki Minaj she has been
looked upon as eye-candy for
young girl and gentlemen
, giving the music video a
good chance to sell .Having
the colourful effect and the
Day Glow it sums up to
bubble-gum fun , with a light
breezy effect .

6. • I noticed that in many R&B
songs that the artist or people
in that video are sexually
displayed .as shown in this
music video I have chosen a
couple clips from the video
where I believe the artist or
the other people in the video
are sexually displayed . This is
achieved in this music video by
the topless men featured that
are well built with muscles
and tattoos , and the artist is
in a bikini pouring a thick pink
substance on her breast , the
camera has focused on this
especially and zoomed into
this happening cutting out the
artist face and bottom half of
her body. And finally in the bit
of the music video the artist is
featured whining and seducing
a man on a chair and she is in
a short stripy dress.
