Choosing the best tool for the job sometimes means
looking outside of Moodle. Construct a task that
involves a fixed output which can be collected and
assessed by the VLE.

The advantage of branching scenarios is that you can
present learners with an evolving narrative, where
they can discover the consequences of decisions made
at each stage of the story.

10. Embedding Assessment in Videos
Vizia is a free tool that allows you to embed multiple
choice questions, polls and open text questions within
YouTube videos (which can then be embedded in
Moodle). Responses are collected via a downloadable
spreadsheet.

Kahoot! is designed for any device connected to the
Internet (mobile phone, tablet, PC). A games-based
quiz for individual/team play, combined with an
intuitive interface makes this the one to beat.
