1. What is Horror?
A horror film is defined as a film
genre seeking to elicit a negative
emotional reaction from viewers
by playing on the audience's
primal fears. The aim of the film
is to startle the viewer, fill them
with anticipation and explore the
viewers fears, nightmares and
phobias.
2. Common themes within horror films are;
supernatural, religion, the macabre and
thrillers. A plot within the genre generally
consists of the introduction of a force, event
or person into the everyday world.

invisible Man (1933), The Bride of

Night of the Creeps (1986), House of
the Dead (2003) and The Fly II
(1989).
