2. About
The target audience is both men and women
aged between 16 and 24.
The magazine costs £2.20 to make it more
affordable for the target audience.
The magazine is weekly to keep the reader up to
date with all of the news about their favorite
artists.
The magazine has a website to suit the target
audience. On it, you can watch videos and they
also have a radio so you can stay up to date
between issues 24/7.
4. Front Cover
The subject is holding his finger to his mouth to
show that he has a secret and he may share it
with you. This makes the reader what to buy the
magazine.
All the text is in capital letters to show that the
producers are forcing the reader to buy the
magazine.
The main story is in yellow to make it stand out
on the page. Also, the font is a computer
generated angry scribble to show that this
magazine isn’t a classical magazine but a hard
rock one. This helps the reader know what genre
the magazine is at a glance
5. Front Cover
The text “10 EPIC POSTERS” is the only text in red to
make it stand out. This is what the producers are
using as a bribe to make the reader want to buy it.
At the top there is a rhetorical question which is a
persuasive technique used to make the reader want
to read the magazine.
The colour scheme is red, blue and yellow to suit both
genders.
The competition is shown at the bottom on a white
background to make it stand out. This is another way
that the publishers are using to make the reader want
to buy the magazine.
7. Double Page Spread
The subject is shouting to show that this is an
important page and that the reader, if they are
flicking through, should stop and read it.
The background is yellow rays coming from the
subject to show that they are writing the article
and they are what this page is all about.
There is little text on the spread which suits the
target audience. Also, it is an interview so they
will feel like they are getting exclusive content
that no one else will be getting elsewhere.
8. Double Page Spread
The title is still in capitals to show that it is
important.
The fonts are very colloquial to suit the younger
target audience.
There is a colloquial black brush stroke over the
author. As well as this there is a taped over text at
the top left over the news section to show that
there has been a change of date. All of these
features are extras to engage the younger
audience.
The blue text shows the important parts of the
page so the reader can browse over and only
read these bits.
