2. Working Out
I really enjoying working
out. It’s the perfect way
to start your day and it’s
the perfect way to end
your day too. I enjoy it so
much that I decided to
look up some interesting
facts about exercise and
working out. Here are
my top five and most
interesting facts about
exercise.
3. Fact #1: Exercise boosts metabolism, burns calories,
and helps you lose weight.
Exercise has so many
benefits. Since I
started exercising, I
feel that I've lost so
much weight and I've
even gotten more
toned. My metabolism
is much more faster
and I still eat a good
amount.
4. Fact #2: Cardiovascular exercise is exercise that raises your heart
rate and keeps it elevated for a period of time.
Cardiovascular exercise
is so important to any
workout. The most
popular example is the
treadmill. I love to get
on that treadmill every
morning. My heart
starts pumping faster as
I run faster. I try to
maintain my heart rate
by checking my pulse
while working out.
5. Fact # 3: Bodybuilders emphasize more repetitions with lighter weights
while strength athletes lift heavier weights for fewer repetitions.
I myself consider myself a
strength athlete. I tend to
do squats and deadlifts
when I work out. As a
strength athlete, the
weights I lift are much
heavier however my reps
are lower when compared
to a bodybuilder. We just
have different goals in
mind. I want to focus on
building my strength.
6. Fact # 4: Free weights generally require muscles other than those in the
target muscle group to stabilize the weight when you move it.
I find machines to
challenge my muscles
more. I think to get the
best results you need
to combine both the
use of machines and
free weights.
7. Fact # 5: The most dangerous weight training exercise
is the bench press.
I cannot overemphasize
that safety is key when
doing a bench press.
Grab a friend and make
sure he or she spots
you when you do a
bench press. Having a
friend will ensure that
you’re doing the
exercise right and
safely.
8. Conclusion and Thanks!
I hope that these facts
about working out
were interesting and
informative. Keeping
fit and working out is
fun. Knowing more
about it though will
make your workouts
even more rewarding!
