- Broaden your reach (find and gain more followers) •You post an update and include a hashtag = it’s read by your followers AND anyone who is keeping track of the hashtag you added •Hashtags can be used for conferences (ie. #mtec2011 – conference), tv shows (#masterchef), subject areas (#musiced), running jokes (#annoyingsongsmykidslike) •Take note of the hashtags others are using, or make your own!
