Heritage List.
• The cut-in houses are said to
have been built by the local
people in the 16th and 17th
centuries in order to "hide the
village" and avoid the Turkish
raids.

of Jews in Levice
comes from 1713

later, Levice‘s
Jews appealed to

Jewish synagogue
but it was built
only in 1883.

1889, but it was rebuilt and
