Introduction


Owing to rapid population increase and urbanization in Lahore,
every year approximately 300,000 persons are being added to its
total population



To fulfill the housing needs of the growing population, LDA has
planned to launch a housing scheme named "LDA City" to be
located at Ferozpur Road, Lahore



The scheme will be launched on the basis of Land Sharing
Methodology between land owners and LDA



The scheme spreads over an area of 45,000 kanals/ (5000 acres)
and is likely to accommodate approximately 40,000 families with all
modern facilities / amenities at their door step.



It will be the largest Housing Scheme in the Province and in the
history of the LDA


LDA itself shall not directly purchase land from the land owners



Only the Development Partners shall be authorized to purchase land
from the land owners on behalf of LDA



Development Partner shall purchase the land from the land owners
and get it mutated in favour of LDA. in lieu of which, developed
plots to the extent of 31% of the transferred land shall be exempted,
out of which 30% shall be the share of the land owner and 1%, the
share of Development Partner for the services rendered by him
Project Location


The scheme is located in the southern outskirts having primary
access from Main Ferozpur Road with its entrance along the Butcher
Khana canal and Lahore Ring Road southern Loop and is just 4-5
kms from the Gajju Matta terminal of Lahore Metro Bus service.



From revenue aspect, the scheme is spread over seven mouzas of
Kahna, Kacha, Sidhar, Rakh Jhedu, Thay Panju, Toor Warriach &
Halloki.



The scheme is bounded by:


Defence Road/ Hadiara drain, in North



500 meters along with Butcher Khana Canal, in South



Ferozpur Road, in East



Lahore-Karachi Railway line, in West

movements as well as vehicular movement.





hotels, separate sites for fruit & vegetable markets, Automobile workshops &
fuelling stations etc. and a compact finance & trade center.



Community facilities including Community Club,



Recreational facilities such as Joy-land & mini zoo, Food streets, 3D Cinemas
& Theme Parks, Stadium & Play Grounds, Community & Neighbor-hood level
parks, Golf course & man-made lakes etc



Spacious boulevards, walkways & cycle tracks, ample parking spaces.

economic life. However, there is no indication for industrial
area for this particular project is not specified.

aiming to give a boost to the city's economic life.

Pedestrian circulation

The scheme would be a compact, pedestrian friendly and
mixed use development with all amenities / public facilities
required for a sustainable neighborhood development
Non conventional interesting street layouts with emphasis on
pedestrian movements as well as vehicular movement.
The engineering design shall include all utility services (i.e.
water supply, roads, parking, pedestrian ways, sewerage
systems, drainage system, & external electrification system
within the project site etc)
Present Status


The notification u/s 4 of Land Acquisition Act, 1894 has also been
published.



Preliminary topographic survey and soil investigation are complete



The consultants have been shortlisted for the project



The bidding process is in progress.

Introduction  Owing to rapid population increase and urbanization in Lahore, every year approximately 300,000 persons are being added to its total population  To fulfill the housing needs of the growing population, LDA has planned to launch a housing scheme named "LDA City" to be located at Ferozpur Road, Lahore  The scheme will be launched on the basis of Land Sharing Methodology between land owners and LDA  The scheme spreads over an area of 45,000 kanals/ (5000 acres) and is likely to accommodate approximately 40,000 families with all modern facilities / amenities at their door step.  It will be the largest Housing Scheme in the Province and in the history of the LDA
  • 4.  LDA itself shall not directly purchase land from the land owners  Only the Development Partners shall be authorized to purchase land from the land owners on behalf of LDA  Development Partner shall purchase the land from the land owners and get it mutated in favour of LDA. in lieu of which, developed plots to the extent of 31% of the transferred land shall be exempted, out of which 30% shall be the share of the land owner and 1%, the share of Development Partner for the services rendered by him

Project Location  The scheme is located in the southern outskirts having primary access from Main Ferozpur Road with its entrance along the Butcher Khana canal and Lahore Ring Road southern Loop and is just 4-5 kms from the Gajju Matta terminal of Lahore Metro Bus service.  From revenue aspect, the scheme is spread over seven mouzas of Kahna, Kacha, Sidhar, Rakh Jhedu, Thay Panju, Toor Warriach & Halloki.  The scheme is bounded by:  Defence Road/ Hadiara drain, in North  500 meters along with Butcher Khana Canal, in South  Ferozpur Road, in East  Lahore-Karachi Railway line, in West

  • 14.  Phase-2: Detailed Engineering Design of Infrastructure Development Works: Stage-A Preliminary Engineering Design of Infrastructure Works  Stage-B Detailed Engineering Design of Infrastructure Works  Stage-C Preparation of Engineers Cost Estimates and Tender Documents including BOQ’s & Technical Specifications of Infrastructure Works  Stage-D Preparation of Design Report for External Electrification System of the complete Housing Scheme.  Stage-E Preparation of Sui Gas Network Design.

LDA City Housing Scheme in comparison with TLP (The Lahore Project) The Lahore Project LDA City Housing Scheme Project Densification of existing developed land instead of converting agricultural land use Convert existing agriculture land use into a Housing Scheme economic sustainability and employment generation through artisanal manufacture Modern commercial centres aiming to give a boost to the city’s economic life. However, there is no indication for industrial area for this particular project is not specified. Pedestrian circulation The scheme would be a compact, pedestrian friendly and mixed use development with all amenities / public facilities required for a sustainable neighborhood development Non conventional interesting street layouts with emphasis on pedestrian movements as well as vehicular movement. The engineering design shall include all utility services (i.e. water supply, roads, parking, pedestrian ways, sewerage systems, drainage system, & external electrification system within the project site etc)
  • 16. Present Status  The notification u/s 4 of Land Acquisition Act, 1894 has also been published.  Preliminary topographic survey and soil investigation are complete  The consultants have been shortlisted for the project  The bidding process is in progress.
