2. Nice big title which catches the attention of the audience Pictures of both cars, and Richard Hammond facing the camera, and small thumbnails explaining what happens, integrated into the image. Large title (RACE TIME) in big letter outlining the main article of the magazines. And underneath smaller thumbnails outlining some of the other articles within the magazine. The colour scheme of the magazine is colourful and is designed to attract an audience who are interested in cars and motorsport.
3. Once again the main title of the magazine is at the top and is the biggest text on the front page. In this image there is no eye contact (but that may be due to the fact it is animated) but it dose show the main character as well as one of the villains holding a weapon. It is also in black and white except for the red on the villain, and this is presented as the game being ‘dark’ and ‘grim’. The title of the main article is also underneath the image with big writing and smaller writing which explains in a little more detail. As you can see here there is no thumbnails showing images of the other articles, but only text. This is done to give the main article a bit more importance, as that article in this particular magazine may be its selling point.
4. The main title is again at the top of the magazine in the biggest font of the front cover. Here the main image is covering the title and this creates an effect as it highlights the image. As you can also see is all the people on the front cover are maintaining eye contact with the camera. Also included with the image is the small text outlining some of the articles in the magazine. As well as the main article in big text. Here there are extra thumbnails at the bottom which outline the extra other bits in the magazine, as well as outlining the ‘give away’ in the magazine.

7. The contents page title, as you can see that it doesn't have to be called ‘contents page’. But it dose have to be relevant The main image on the contents page, in this case it also is the image for the article it supports. As you can see there us an article which begins on the contents page. Here is the main contents, as you can see it outlines each article as well as providing a suitable page number for each one. Here is an advertisement which promotes the company which produces the magazine
8. The image fills the whole contents page and this highlights the image in the magazine The title of the contents is here and it is quite simply called contents All the articles in the magazine are here, but in this example there are no page numbers so I presume the articles are in numerical order
9. Once again the title of the contents page, and notice how they are all featured near the top of the magazine The main image of the contents page, notice how much larger it is compared to the others. All the contents, and an image down the left and above side to support the contents, as well as a preview of the articles. Notice how each section has a separate title. Here is another section of the contents, with another title for the section, as well as a picture to support this particular part of the contents. Highlighted by the blue oval, there are standalone thumbnails of the main articles featured within the magazine

Hinweis der Redaktion
This magazine uses all the main techniques which helps it being a successful front cover as it attracts the target audience and shows snippets of what is in the magazine. The image is good as it shows both cars in a head to head stance as well as showing Richard Hammond besides his, maintaining eye contact with the camera; also the lighting is good as you can see everything in the picture as well as getting a nice glow on the cars (especially on the Lamborghini)
I have noted from this magazine and from the last that the title should always be towards the top, and the main image should be central. A technique I have learned from looking at this particular magazine is how to give the main article a lot more importance by excluding the use of thumbnails, and only stating (in text) the other articles included in the magazine.
After this I have noted more techniques used in magazine front cover, and mainly how the image is portrayed to be the main ‘thing’ on the magazine as it covers the main title which is the important thing, so therefore it becomes the most important thing on the magazine.
As you can see form this contents page it has all the basics a contents page needs, but also has the beginning of an article which I presume continues onto the next page. This is done to get as much information as possible into the magazine.
This is a weird contents page as the image is dominant, and the articles are portrayed in a way where you may not know where they are, but there is enough there to tell you that they are in the magazine.
This is the contents page layout I will aim for, and as you can see it features a main picture as well as smaller pictures for some of the other main articles, it has a title nearer the top, as well as featuring thumbnails for some of the articles featured within the magazine
