Kamal Hayek - Portfolio
1. keyaHlamaK
With a long history in the Interior Design Industry, and a portfolio spanning
from commercial and office spaces to private residences, I have gained a great
amount of experience and extensive background in managing interior projects,
from inception to completion. With a sensitive approach to creative and inno-
vative ideas and a high degree of competence.
An Independent Design Consultant since 1994, I have strived over the years to
develop a design language that offers a contemporary interpretation of spaces
anchored in time. Whilst a modern solution may be my personal preference, I
recognize the importance of achieving a design that is appropriate to the client’s
needs. This led to the development of a wide range of projects from ultra mod-
ern to classical.
All my projects share the same rational approach that guided the creative
process. While they integrate subtle design elements that introduced modern
variations on textiles, lighting, fittings and technology, they remain faithful to
their architectural and urban context.
Quality is the key principle to reach a high level of design excellence. Leading
projects with honesty and integrity ultimately formed the foundation of all the
long-term business relationships I have endeavored to build and sustain all
through the years.

Villa Hariri
The arched hallways, reminiscent
of Abbasid architecture, connect
and entwine the inner and outer
environments in a direct dialogue
with the exterior architecture.
They infuse instant grace to the
interior and add a layer of luxury
and grandeur to the whole space.
The walkways, generous and
convivial, seem to extend beyond
their walls to create a framework
highlighting spectacular outdoor
views, while acting as a focal
point, a portal from one area to
the next.
3. Rawche Residence
The directional orientation of the interior is
determined by the views of the surrounding
seascape where the transition between inside
and outside has been expertly choreographed.
The graceful patterns and muted brown hues
of the walnut wood set the stage for the con-
trast with the light shade of the walls, while the
back painted glass gives the space an ethereal
glow with its sleek modern lustre-coating. The
white Estremoz Portuguese marble adorns the
floor, and complements the timeless and classic
feel reigning in the house.
The onyx backlit stone serves to lift this freestanding bathtub.
With light transmitted through the stone, the effect is
dramatic. The backlit component with chrome fixtures, the
wooden shelves and cabinetry, and the sea view in the
foreground result in a striking master bathroom.

Florsheim
Through a design-focused approach and a high
quality cherry wood, the organic weave of dark
tones and subtle materials is curiously explored,
accentuated by layers of rich beige with infinite
subtlety. The light beige walls highlight the angles of
the shop giving it depth and contrast. The lighting
features lend a touch of strength and sophistication
to both light and dark colors, creating compelling
undertones and an overall stately feel.
5. Nara Camicie
The space is a modern interpretation of a classic
composition that plays on the subtle contrast between
matt and gloss finishes, between wood and stainless.
The tactile qualities of texture reflecting key trends
add to the visual impact of the brand-inspired colors
and patterns. The result is a warm and neutral
character with a timeless appeal.

6. SP&Co
Responding to the trend for reflective surfaces alongside traditional
forms and colors, the space is refreshed by the addition of bright
colors and skylight features. The white dominates the ceiling and
woodwork, saturating and radiating consistently and maximizing
the feeling of light. The glass lets light through, striking a great
balance of tones and patterns, illuminating the space and giving it a
feeling of clarity and transparency.

7. Me. Khadije Office
Inspired by the traditional English Regency design ideas and
ornamental details, the style is anchored by the use of one color
scheme, which optimizes the sharp contrast and bold patterns that
characterize the Regency interiors. This carried through the use
of rich textiles, ornate forms, and decorative inlays. The Walnut
wood has an ancient quality about it, articulated by lights and
motifs, a greater finesse is afforded to create this private ambiance.

8. Al-Bilad Islamic Bank
The blend of stainless steel and oak veneer surfaces seem
to evoke a modern vibe. The neutral tone created by the
use of glass offers lightness and transparency while the
grey tone gives depth to subtle colors. The result is a space
breathing in harmony, elegance and order.

9. Embassy Corporate Premisses
Drawing upon traditional motifs, the aesthetic, reserved and qualitative
features are measured by every single detail. They express the care and
attention given to adorn the space, while respecting a clear spatial and
structural hierarchy. The objects are carefully selected and combined in a
way that emphasizes the formality and discretion that reign over the whole
ambiance.
