To present documents
but mostly PowerPoint's.
A creative way to present
my work.
It was successful as it
was a varied way of
presenting my work.
Furthermore, it is
easy to use.
I learnt how to present
my work differently
and in the future i will
explore diverse ways
to present my work.
Flip cam Used to film Vox Pop -
primary research. Also
to film evaluation part 2
and 6.
A better method of filming
compared to a HD
camera. Also, to gain
audience feedback and
evaluate our work.
It was successful
because it was light to
carry compared to
carrying a tripod etc.
Moreover, it was
simple to use.
Using a flip cam was a
new experience and i
felt that i improved, in
a sense that i am
more knowledgeable
about different ways
to record footage.
YouTube To embed videos on my
blog. For example; Vox
Pop and Sound Analysis
of train spotting.
A way of presenting my
work as it was more
suitable.
It was successful
because it was easy
to use and helped
share work onto my
blog. However, it
was unsuccessful
when i had to
annotate videos on
YouTube and the
tools took a while to
get used to and you
could only write so
many words.
I learnt how to present
my work differently
and in the future i will
explore diverse ways
to present my work.

IMac - IMac used to do
research for tasks
given, e.g. Finding a
opening sequence to
evaluate on YouTube.
It was successful as i
could do a lot of
research that helped
influenced my opening
sequence.
I have prior
knowledge as a
GCSE student (as
well as owning one)
with using an iMac.
Art Of The Title
http://www.artofthetitle
.com/
- A website used to
collect research -
specifically when
doing the task,
inspiring title
sequence.
It was successful as
the website had a
range of Social Realist
films that focused on
opening sequences.
-
Blogger
http://kalkidanbrook.bl
ogspot.co.uk/
Throughout the whole
of Media AS.
It is an effective and
clear way to present
my work.
It was successful as it
was simple to use.
Also, all my work was
documented in one
place safely. Lastly,
it allowed me to be
creative as i could
present my in different
ways e.g. i could link
Youtube videos.
I learnt how to present
my work differently
and in the future i will
explore diverse ways
to present my work.
BBC Opening sequence To gain inspiration for
opening sequence
It was successful
because BSR make
films influenced on
real events, so the
BBC, a place where
you gain news of real
events, inspired us.

Panosonic HD
Camera
BSR opening
sequence
To film our opening
sequence. To film
wild track.
It was successful as it
had excellent image
and sound quality.
Moreover it was easy
to use.
I have prior
knowledge using this
equipment but i feel in
contrast to the last
time i used i can
control it better.
Memory Card Used when filming Memory card was
used to store the
footage we filmed.
It was successful as
the memory card was
light and stored our
work safely
We have upgraded
from tapes to memory
cards, so, big
improvement as work
is stored in a safer
place.
USB - Extract footage from
memory card to iMac.
It was successful as
footage was
transferred very
quickly to the IMac.
I will be using this to
upload footage in the
future, from camera to
Mac.
IMac - To import footage
upon.
It was successful as it
had multiple uses like
being able to use
software, document
work and also transfer
work.
I have prior
knowledge as a
GCSE student (as
well as owning one)
with using an iMac.
LiveType BSR opening
sequence
To create graphics It was very successful!
It was like fireworks
but better because
you could move
graphics to you
specification.
This software is knew
to me. It has improved
my graphic making
skills as it allows you
more to work with e.g.
position of graphic.
Also, in the future it
will allow me to
become more creative
with graphics.

DaFont

BSR Opening
sequence graphics
Graphics provided on
LiveType not creative
enough, so this
website an amazing
variety of fonts.
Successful as you are
spoiled for choice and
can be easily
downloaded onto
LiveType.
I have improved as it
has allowed to
progress my graphics
skill, since i can pick
from a variety of
shots. In the future i
can pick creative
graphics easily.

BSR opening

background music
and film 4 sound on
film 4 graphic.
To convert video to
Mp3, in order for it to
be compatible to
import into iMovie.
Successful as its
quick and easy, also
downloads straight
onto iTunes, so was
easy to import sound
onto iMovie
In the future i can now
use any audio of my
choice.
Blogger
http://kalkidanbrook.bl
ogspot.co.uk/
To record production
logs.
Successful as blogger
is easy to use and i
could use it on the go
on my phone and
record what i
completed in the day.
In the future i can do
work on the go.
iPhone 5 Evaluation. To record part 2 and
6.
It was successful as it
had high image and
audio quality. Easy to
use and also meant i
could upload and edit
at home since i also
have an iMac.
In the future i can now
do work at home -
specifically editing.
Facebook - To gain permission to
use music for opening
sequence.
Successful as we
could communicate
with musician even
though we were miles
apart.
In the future i may use
social networking sites
to get in touch with
certain individuals to
gain permission for
music.

Final Cut Express BSR opening
sequence
To merge graphic and final
sequence together.
It was successful as
you could manipulate
graphics, for example,
we maximized the title
at the end of our
opening sequence and
also a fade in/out was
added. However, it
was unsuccessful as
the rendering took long
therefore it wasted time
and i got very
impatient. Moreover, it
took a long time to get
used to! and when
placing the graphics on
top of the footage, it
would sometimes
cause gaps to form so
the graphics would go
in-between instead of
layering on top of the
footage.
I have learnt how to
layer graphics on top
of footage. So, in
the future this will
come in handy as
next year we have to
make music videos
and i will be using
this software.
IMovie BSR opening

To edit footage It was successful as it
was easy to use since i
had prior knowledge.
My editing skills have
improved greatly
considering the
software had been
updated. This will
help in future
projects as a lot of
tasks including
editing awaits e.g.
music videos.
