You cannot drink alcohol in public or buy cigarettes until you are 18. At 18 you can buy alcohol, work in bars or restaurants serving alcohol, watch 18-rated films, and your parents can smoke in cars with you present. You can get married at 16 with parental permission or at 18 without permission.
