Created by Champaign residents Josh and Stephanie O’Neal, CU-There! incorporates Champaign and Urbana data sets—such as points of interest, historic places and parking meter spaces—in a user-friendly format that can help encourage residents and visitors to explore Champaign and Urbana, discover hidden treasures and bring citizens and business together in the spirit of community.

have awarded the efforts of
Joshua O'Neal and Stephanie Gould, C-U There!
for creating a tool that allows the people of Champaign, Illinois to view local news & event
feeds, comprehensive parking location information, and directories of historic landmarks &
local businesses.
We therefore confer the monetary prize of $15,000 to further the exploration and
development of this tool and to further the mission of the Illinois Open Technology Challenge
to bring governments, developers and communities together in a common mission to use data
to make lives better in Illinois.
