What do children learn through play? I
chose this topic because I think play is so
important. So much learning takes place
during this time. Preschoolers’ playtime is
being replaced by academic settings at an
alarming rate. Youngsters are expected to
forfeit their most important activity. I feel
play helps prepare children for life.
PLAY is the Occupation of Childhood!
PLAY IS A WAY
OF LEARNING!
Play Can Be Fun.
   Play Can Be Hard.
Play is the Way a Child
Learns About the World.
 Play is a Child’s Work!
Play Helps Children
  Grow Strong And
      Healthy!
Through active play children improve:
        Strength
        Endurance
        Balance
         Body Coordination
Playing teaches:
  Sharing
  Following Rules
  Taking Turns
Play Is Practice For Being A Grown-up.
Using Play and Senses to Learn About
         Things In Our World.
Using PLAY and SENSES to
 Develop Intellectual Skills
and Discover Differences in
       How Things:
 Feel
 Look
Sound
Smell
 Taste
Using CREATIVE PLAY
    to Imagine and Develop
Innovative Ideas Leading to Success.
Through SOCIAL PLAY Children

Act Out Feelings
 Listen
Talk
Children Learn:
 COOPERATION
IMPORTANCE OF FRIENDSHIP
SHARING
PLAY IS A TREASURED
 PART OF A CHILD’S
    EXISTANCE.
Play offers many IMPORTANT and
 DEVELOPMENTAL BENEFITS!
