2. Let's take out the trash !- one of the things that we all hate. But have
ever thought about what happens to trash?
Many of the things we take are simply wasted instead of being
reused or recycled.
Only in the EU annually produce 1.3 billion tons of waste. Around 40
million tones of hazardous waste. One European produce on average
1 kg of domestic waste per day or similar. It is estimated that 2020
will produce 45% more waste than in 1995.
Due to the fact that in Romania the separate collection of waste has
not yet become common practice, it can be said that a large
proportion of waste which is recyclable material
(paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, metal), is not recovered. So large
amounts of secondary raw materials and energy resources are lost.
3. In order to reduce waste first we have to do our shopping
intelligently. Here are some other ways to reduce environmental
impact:
Organic products which are labelled.
Avoid over-packaged goods - Europeans packaging waste annually
produce 4,000 times the weight of the Eiffel tower!!
Think carefully before you print something!
Use opportunities to recycle paper, packaging, metal cans, glass or
other household waste. Recycling of aluminum cans saves energy to
operate a laptop for 10 hours.

5. •Reduce environmental pollution;
.
•Saving energy;
•Nature and natural resources are
protected;
•Reduce air, water and soil pollution;
•More space it is gained for parks and
playgrounds.
