Lifeplace learning refers to learning that occurs in all areas of life, both formal and informal, including at home, at work, and in community activities. The document proposes recognizing and accrediting the knowledge gained from lifeplace learning to attain qualifications in higher education. This more flexible approach to learning could enhance access to education for diverse learners and recognize valuable knowledge gained from experience. Formalizing lifeplace learning would help value not just the knowledge gained but the learners themselves.
