  Album Cover
Album Cover Front
         • The photo use on the front cover is a low angle
long shot as it shows all three band members
looking down at the camera to see the cracks
on the screen that seem to be made by one of
band members. Their hand is in the bottom
right hand corner that is shown to have gone
through the lens to give a 3-D type of effect.
This is conventional for the genre of Pop Rock
as the band is shown to be looked up at by
fans as they influence them and that they
             stand out.
         • The clothes that are warned by the band
members is casual as they are wearing
hoody’s, jeans, and t-shirts. This is
conventional for the Pop Rock genre as the
band is shown to be from a working class
background by the use of the clothes that are
             warn.
         • The location of the cover shows a traditional
photo shoot by the use of the backing and the
brick wall that its attracted to and the way that
the band are looking at the camera as if it has
             just fallen over.
Album Cover Front
         • The text in the top left corner of the cover is in
small white, bold serif font. This is used as the
white shows up on the black of the ceiling, the
serif font is used to create a messy type of look
that still stands out even though the text is quite
small. This is conventional for the album title to
be in a small font as it is not as significant
compared to the name of the band.
         • The text in the bottom right corner of the cover
is in large red, bold, serif font. The font is so big
that it could easily be san serif. This is used as
it’s the name of the of the band and makes it
stand out from the rest of the album cover. This
is conventional as having the band or artist
name to stand out from the rest of the cover
makes it eye catching and clear for the audience
to see what their looking for more easily.
         • The language and mode of address to the
audience is informal as “Busted” tends to be
used when something is broken. The title of the
album makes it seem to have an audience of
anyone as it’s “A Present For Everyone” meaning
most people will enjoy the album regardless of
             their background.
Album Cover Front
         • The photo of the band covers all of the front of
the cover with the exception of the text. It covers
the whole cover as it makes the CD appeal to its
audience as it makes it easy to recognize is in the
shops and that they can tell what they are buying
as the audience would have a bit of understanding
of what the band would look like by the used of
             the TV and the internet.
         • The text of the title of the album is shown in the
top left terminal area as it is the first thing seen by
the reader as its is the start of the root of the eye.
This is slightly unconventional as the name of the
artist or band tends to be the first piece of text
that the reader sees raver than the title of the
             album.
         • The logo and name of the band is shown in the
bottom right terminal area which is the last thing
to be seen as its at the end of the root of the eye.
This is unconventional as the name of the band or
artist tends to be one of the first things seen by
the reader of the cover as it tells who the artist is
before the name of the album as it could
introduce the listener of the album to the artist or
             band.
Back of Album’s Back Cover
• The photo used on the page is
  of a dressing room which
shows a poster of the shadows
of the band which has be
drawn on. There is also photos
  of the bands journey, around
  the mirrors and on the
lights, on the wall of the room.
• The poster of the band with
the name of the band on it in
large, white, san serif font is
shown in the middle of the
page as it’s only seen by taking
the CD out of the case as the
poster is in the main optical
  area of the page.
Album Cover Back
• The list of songs that is on the album are
shown near main optical area of the back
cover as it’s the main part of the use of the
back as its conventional of it to show the list
of songs on the album. This is shown in
black, bold serif font as it continues from the
front cover of the album and stands out from
    the white background.
• The copyright, small print is in the bottom of
the back cover as it has less significance as it
is shown in tiny black serif font as it shows all
of the music copyright to the album. This is
conventional as it kind of gives the seal of
approval of the album from the recording
company and the credits. This is a formal
language as it shows the copyrights and is
common for albums and other media
    product to be copyrighted.
• The barcode of the album is shown in the top
right terminal area as is doesn’t districts from
the rest of the contents on the back cover as
it’s only there for the use of buying the
    album.
Album Cover Front
         • The photo use on the front cover is a low
angle long shot as it shows all four band
members looking down at the camera
from pillars that are normally seen on a
beach. This is conventional for the genre
of Pop Rock as the band is shown to be
looked up at by fans as they influence
them and that they stand out.
         • The clothes that are warn by the band
members consist of jeans, shorts, t-shirts
and shirts. This is conventional to the
genre of Pop Rock as the band is shown to
be from a working class background by
             the use of their clothes.
         • The location of the beach scene is used to
on the cover as it a beach holiday tends to
be associated with a working class
             background.
Album Cover Front
         • The text of the bands name is
large, yellow, bold, san serif font. This is used as
it shows up on the background of the blue sky
and contrast to the colour of the location of the
beach. This is conventional as the bands name is
the largest piece of text on the cover which
appeals to the audience even more.
         • The text of the album name is small, white, san
serif font. This is used as it shows up on the blue
sky background and is the same colour of the
clouds in the background. This is conventional
as the album name has less significant to the
name of the band as its more of a sub heading
where as the bands name if a main heading.
         • The language and mode of address on the text is
informal as the title of the album uses “3rd”
instead of “third” which would make the title
more aimed at a working class background as its
more like something that would be written on a
text to a friend. The name “Mcfly” is more of a
name from a working class background as it is
quite a short name where as an upper class
background name is more formal and a bit
             longer.
Album Cover Front
         • The photo of the band covers all of the front
of the cover with the exception of the text. It
covers the whole cover as it makes the CD
appeal to its audience as it makes it easy to
recognize is in the shops and that they can
tell what they are buying as the audience
would have a bit of understanding of what
the band would look like by the used of the
             TV and the internet.
         • The title of the album and the name of the
band is shown in the middle of the top of the
cover. The bands name is above the album
name and is larger as it is used to attract the
audience of the album by the artist name.
Both have been placed here as it’s the first
thing to be seen by the root of the eye as its
at the top of the cover and the first and only
piece of text on the cover. This is
conventional as most album covers tend to
show the name of the artist before anything
else on the cover as it is used to draw in the
             audience of the album.
Back of Album’s Front Cover
• The list of songs that is on the album are shown
near the top of the back of the front cover as its
one of the first things seen by the root of the eye
however all of the track listings will be one of the
last things seen as its out side of the root of the eye
and is not in the main optical area. This is
unconventional as the track listings are mostly
shown in the main optical area and not near the
    top of the page.
• An image of a drum set with the name of the band
on the front drum is shown in yellow as it contrasts
to the front cover where the name of the band is in
a bold yellow san serif font. This has been placed in
the main optical area as it the most thing seen
thing on the page by the root of the eye and its one
of the first things shown to the reader as it’s in the
    main optical area.
• The copyright and website is in the bottom of the
page as it has less significance as it is shown in tiny
light and dark grey serif font as it shows all of the
music copyright to the album. This is conventional
as it gives the owner a website to look up if they
wish. This is a formal language as it shows the
copyrights and is common for albums and other
    media product to be copyrighted.
Back of Album’s Back Cover
             • A large image of a drum set
with the name of the band on
the front drum is shown in
yellow as it contrasts to the
               front cover where the name
of the band is in a bold yellow
san serif font. This has been
               placed in the main optical
area as it the most thing seen
thing on the page by the root
of the eye and its one of the
               first things shown to the
reader as it’s in the main
optical area, when the CD has
been taken our of the case.
Album Cover Back
• The photo use on the front cover is a long
shot which shows all four band members
looking at the camera by sitting on the
back of a mini bus. This is shown in the
main optical area as it makes the photo of
the band one of the first things seen by
    the audience of the album.
• The clothes that are warn by the band
members consist of jeans, shorts, t-shirts
and shirts. This is conventional to the
genre of Pop Rock as the band is shown to
be from a working class background by
    the use of their clothes.
• The location of the beach scene is used to
on the cover as it a beach holiday tends to
be associated with a working class
background. This is helped by the use of
the mini van as well, this is because it
shows the band on a road trip like holiday.
Album Cover Back
• The copyright and small print is in the bottom of
the back cover as it has less significance as it is
shown in tiny black serif font as it shows all of the
music copyright to the album. This is conventional
as it kind of gives the seal of approval of the
album from the recording company and the
credits. This is a formal language as it shows the
copyrights and is common for albums and other
    media product to be copyrighted.
• The list of songs that is on the album are shown
near the top of the back cover as its one of the
first things seen by the root of the eye however all
of the track listings will be one of the last things
seen as its out side of the root of the eye and is
not in the main optical area. This is
unconventional as the track listings are mostly
shown in the main optical area and not near the
    top of the back cover.
• The barcode of the album is shown in the top of
the back cover which makes it one of the first
things seen by the audience of the album. This is
very unconventional as the barcode tends to be at
the side out of the way from the main image of
    the cover.
Back of Album’s Front Cover
              • The photo used on the
page is of the floor of the
                room with large coloured
                cut out letters scatted all
                over the floor.
              • The floor is a similar to a
                studio floor as its seems
newly made as it looks a
little dirty and as if it was
                an outside floor.

  • 2. Album Cover Front • The photo use on the front cover is a low angle long shot as it shows all three band members looking down at the camera to see the cracks on the screen that seem to be made by one of band members.
