Join us at the 22nd Annual AEPP International Conference
In Nashville,Tennessee USA
Dear Colleagues,
Please consider joining us at the 22nd Annual International Conference of the Association on Employment Practices
and Principles (AEPP) in Nashville,Tennessee, Oct. 8-10, 2014. This year's conference theme is "Transformation
and Change for the Future: Employment Practices and Principles inTransition."The AEPP and its parent, the
Council on Employee Responsibilities and Rights (CERR) focus on organizational concepts and practices for the
effective managing of organizations, people and performance within the context of the higher levels of ethical
principles and practices.
We also sponsor the International Journal for Responsible Employment Practices and Principles (IJREPP), our
official journal, that continues in the tradition of our 24 year history of accomplishments and success in developing
and editing the premiere journal in this field. Special emphasis this year will include encouraging "practitioner"
engagement in varied track areas in addition to our traditional scholar emphasis.
AEPP international conferences focus on providing a national and international forum for professional development,
networking and social interaction among academics, consultants, executives and practicing managers. Our
conferences are deliberately limited in number of participants to foster a supportive and friendly environment.
We are very fortunate this year to be sponsored by the Austin Peay State University’s School ofTechnology and
Public Management. Also,Troy University will be lending their support, as well as the Institute for Leadership and
Global Education (ILGE).
Our venue this year is ideal and the location at theThe Inn at Opryland in NashvilleTennessee (home of the“Grand
Ole Opry”– see http://www.opry.com. Nashville will provide a most memorable experience for all. This vibrant city
in the Southeast has many points of interest and excellent transportation drawing visitors from across the world.
This is a wonderful opportunity to engage in the discussion of significant, domestic and international employment
issues and practices. Among other attractions, you can explore the world-famous honky-tonks, located on
Broadway in Nashville, offering free live music 365 days a year. And with more than 130 music venues around town
ranging from large arenas and concert halls to small intimate clubs, it’s easy to see why this is the city that“music
calls home”Nashville is also a living history lesson. A must-see isThe Hermitage where U.S. President Andrew
Jackson lived in the 1800s. Also worth seeing in Nashville is the Parthenon, the world’s only full-sized reproduction
of the Greek Parthenon in Athens, Greece.
We welcome papers (both regular and developmental), presentations, case studies, and proposals that are original
and promise scholarly or practical contribution to the field. Accepted papers will usually be published in a CD and
website version of the Proceedings. Awards will be made for the most outstanding paper from a scholar, a
practitioner. a graduate student, as well as a best case studies paper award. Proposals for workshops, round tables,
papers, panels, and symposia are also encouraged.

Aims and Scope
The International Journal for Responsible Employment Practices and
Principles Journal is the official publication of the non-profit Council on
Employee Responsibilities and Rights (CERR) and the Association on
Employment Practices and Principles (AEPP). The Journal stems from the
20-year history of our original Journal but with a more contemporary and
international approach. The Journal focuses not only on the best in
scholarly research, but also addresses the practical issues and needs of
those in organizations. The Journal’s goals are to provide high-quality,
peer-reviewed original research articles as well as practitioner-focused
articles with academic rigor as well as relevancy to the real-world of those
in organizations. Areas focused on include responsible employment
practices and principles, responsibilities and rights, strategy and policy,
contemporary moral issues and dilemmas, performance improvement,
and elevation of ethical standards and practices. The Journal is
interdisciplinary in focus, drawing from a broad range of disciplines
including sociology, psychology, philosophy, political science,
organizational behavior, ethics, industrial and labor studies, law,
leadership studies, economics, employment relations, administrative and
organizational studies. The Journal is especially concerned with furthering
the understanding of responsible employment practices and principles
and the responsibilities and rights areas within the context of the
increasing instability and economic uncertainty at both national and
international levels.
If you are writing or have written a scholarly paper or something else for
contributing to the Journal’s international audience of both scholars and
practitioners in the employment practices and principles areas, please
e-mail a file in MS-Word, APA format to Dr. John Keenan, Editor-in-Chief,

The Journal stems from the 20-year history of our original Journal but with a more contemporary and international approach. The Journal focuses not only on the best in scholarly research, but also addresses the practical issues and needs of those in organizations. The Journal’s goals are to provide high-quality, peer-reviewed original research articles as well as practitioner-focused articles with academic rigor as well as relevancy to the real-world of those in organizations. Areas focused on include responsible employment practices and principles, responsibilities and rights, strategy and policy, contemporary moral issues and dilemmas, performance improvement, and elevation of ethical standards and practices. The Journal is interdisciplinary in focus, drawing from a broad range of disciplines including sociology, psychology, philosophy, political science, organizational behavior, ethics, industrial and labor studies, law, leadership studies, economics, employment relations, administrative and organizational studies. The Journal is especially concerned with furthering the understanding of responsible employment practices and principles and the responsibilities and rights areas within the context of the increasing instability and economic uncertainty at both national and international levels. If you are writing or have written a scholarly paper or something else for contributing to the Journal’s international audience of both scholars and practitioners in the employment practices and principles areas, please e-mail a file in MS-Word, APA format to Dr. John Keenan, Editor-in-Chief, IJREPP, at ijrepp@institute-leadership-global.org.
