2. Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease
that is caused by a bacteria called Neisseria
Gonorrhoeae.
One out of four adults get this disease.
It is very contagious
3. Gonorrhea grows rapidly in the very warm
areas of the body including: Fallopian tubes,
womb, cervix, urine canals, mouth, penis,
vagina, anus and eyes.
4. Burning sensation when you pee.
Yellowish-white discharge from either the
penis or the vagina.
Swollen testicles (men)
If untreated, Pelvic Inflammatory disease
(women).
Symptoms usually appear 2-5 days after
infected, but could take as long as 30 days to
start.
5. Males and Females can both get Gonorrhea.
Teenagers and Adults are most vulnerable;
children and seniors very rarely contract the
disease.
There is NO particular race that has a higher
chance of getting it.
6. If you think you have this disease go to a
healthcare provider to take a sample of the
mucus.
Medicine like Penicillin is usually used to kill the
bacteria, but it does not always work.
The U.S. Disease Control Center recommends a
single shot of 125mg of Ceftriaxone taken by the
mouth.
The only certain way to never get this disease is
abstinence.
Gonorrhea is not deadly, however it can come
back even after you have been treated for it.
