2.  Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease
that is caused by a bacteria called Neisseria
Gonorrhoeae.
 One out of four adults get this disease.
 It is very contagious

3.  Gonorrhea grows rapidly in the very warm
areas of the body including: Fallopian tubes,
womb, cervix, urine canals, mouth, penis,
vagina, anus and eyes.

4.  Burning sensation when you pee.
 Yellowish-white discharge from either the
penis or the vagina.
 Swollen testicles (men)
 If untreated, Pelvic Inflammatory disease
(women).
 Symptoms usually appear 2-5 days after
infected, but could take as long as 30 days to
start.

5.  Males and Females can both get Gonorrhea.
 Teenagers and Adults are most vulnerable;
children and seniors very rarely contract the
disease.
 There is NO particular race that has a higher
chance of getting it.

6.  If you think you have this disease go to a
healthcare provider to take a sample of the
mucus.
 Medicine like Penicillin is usually used to kill the
bacteria, but it does not always work.
 The U.S. Disease Control Center recommends a
single shot of 125mg of Ceftriaxone taken by the
mouth.
 The only certain way to never get this disease is
abstinence.
 Gonorrhea is not deadly, however it can come
back even after you have been treated for it.
