Performing network deployments of Windows 7 andor Windows 8 is often misunderstood and is sometimes a difficult concept to grasp. There are many questions such as “How do I get started?” and “What tools should I use?”. It is the goal of this talk to show just how easy OS deployment can be and how fast you can set up your own OS deployment environment regardless if you are an MSP, enterprise organization, or an SMB computer fix-it-shop. This session will demonstrate how to quickly set up an MDT environment by utilizing a Windows Server 2012 computer with the Windows Deployment Services role, create a WinPE boot image from scratch in MDT, and deploy a bare-metal Windows Client image to a physical PC.
5. why MDT?
1. Great place to get started
2. Uses the same tools that the “other guys” do
3. Scalable
4. Integrates with SCCM
5. Wealth of public, paid, and free
documentation
6. MDT is Free
6. the list of benefits
Operating System Management
Application Management
Driver Management
Windows UpdatePackage Management
Selection Profiles
Task Sequences
Automation
Database Driven Deployments
Integration with System Center Configuration Manager
Multiple OS Deployment scenarios supported
Multiple Image Strategies can be used (all at the same time)
And More
