Outlook for the day
Over the weekend, there is the upper house
elections in Japan, which is considered to be
crucial for the PM Shinzo Abe's plan of rolling out
structural reforms. Going into next week, we
have several important results followed by
monetary policy meeting in end July. The FOMC
is scheduled to meets on July 30-31 and
September 17-18, which would put further light
on the path to be taken by Fed.
The Nifty too reversed from the low of
5,910 and managed a weekly close above
6,000. It is possible that the index
reverses lower in the early part of next
week and declines to 5,967 or 5,908.
Traders can buy in declines as long as the
index trades above the first support.
Reversal from here will mean that the
index can move on to 6,133 or 6,230 in
the short-term.
Short-term trend will turn negative only
on a decline below 5,908. Next target for
the index would be 5,816 or 5,757.
Our medium-term view for the index stays
unaltered. If the index reverses before
6,200, it can decline to the 5,750 level as
the sideways consolidation phase that
began from the 6,230 peak continues. The
going will get painful only on a strong
breach of the 5,750 level.

NIFTY OPTION OPEN INTEREST CHANGE CHART
The option data suggests that the market participants are currently
visualizing the 6200 mark on the higher side. Very high CALL writing at
6200 Strike price will stop market to move beyond 6200 mark. On the other
side we can see equal PUT writings on 5900 to 5800 strike price. This
indicates that NIFTY down move would be restricted below 5800 mark. Last
session’s option data indicated that NIFTY can have a range of 5800 and
6200 in near term.
