–Konsumen tidak perlu menge-lola atau mengendalikan infrastruktur awan
, tetapi memiliki kontrol atas sistem operasi, penyim-panan, aplikasi, dan
kontrol terbatas terhadap komponen jaringan (misalnya, firewall host).

– Platform as a Service (PaaS) adalah jenis layanan cloud dimana
konsumen dapat men-deploy aplikasi yang dibangun oleh

Software as a Service (SaaS) adalah jenis layanan cloud yang
menyediakan aplikasi kepada kepada konsumen melalu jaringan
internet
Aplikasi tersebut dapat diakses pelanggan dari berbagai perangkat
klien melalui antarmuka seperti web browser (misalnya, email
berbasis web).
Aplikasi berbasis on-premise sangat mahal, dan hanya perusahaan
yang memiliki Cap-ex besar yang mampu mebeli disamping itu juga
perusahaan membutuhkan ahli IT yang menyebabkan tingginya
Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Dengan SaaS, konsumen tidak perlu lagi investasi dan membeli
infrastruktur dan platform terkait serta termasuk tenaga ahli bidang
IT.
