O The project team is expected to capture a
healthy majority of the system requirements
O The goal of this phase is to baseline the
architecture
O To ensure that the critical tools, processes,
standards, and guidelines have been put in
place for the Construction phase

O Consisting of analysts
O Engineers

4. What is an outcome ?
O Architecture
O Built in a series of small, time boxed
iterations.

5. Important Outcomes
O Common processes undertaken in this
phase Creation of use case diagrams
O Conceptual diagrams (class diagrams with
only basic notation)
O Package diagrams .

O To define each point mentioned in inception
O To address known risk factors
O To establish system architecture
O To validate system architecture
O Elaborating an idea or vision
