3. What is Twitter?
TWITTER is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows
its users to post and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as TWEETS).
TWEETS are text-based posts of up to 140 characters or less displayed on the
user’s profile page and delivered to other users who are FOLLOWING them.
TWEETS can be sent via the Twitter website, SMS or a variety of external
applications.
TWITTER is one of the fastest growing social media networks currently,
with roughly 23 million monthly unique visitors and 420 million WEEKLY
