2. This picture was taken with my project
facilitator, Mrs. Carrnes, on the first
day I met with her. We talked about
healthy options for the cookbook.
3. This picture, I sat down with my mother and went
over all her recipes. She told me which ones to
include and helped me rewrite the ones that I
couldnât read.
4. This day I invited my aunts and grandmother to
come over. We talked about my project and they
told me the recipes that they wanted to be in it.
5. Here I am emailing my grandmother to
figure out a good time for her to come
over and cook with me. We set up days
that would be best for my grandmother to
come over and teach me to make each
meal.
6. After I had all the recipes from my
grandmother, aunts, and mom, I sat down and
typed up all 45 recipes. This was very time
consuming task and took me a few days to
complete.
7. This picture was taken while I was editing the printed
rough draft of the cookbook. Once I had this printed out
on paper, I was able to catch many spelling, grammar, and
simple punctuation errors that I had missed when editing
on the computer.
8. This picture was taken while I was making
my last revisions to the cookbook before
taking it to be printed.
9. This was my third trip to Fed Ex
Office to print my final edited
version of the cookbook. After much
frustration, we were able to get it to
print just the way I wanted.
10. These are the final prints of my product! My
aunts, my mother, and my grandmother
each got their own copy.
11. This is a picture of our Familyâs Thanksgiving
meal where I learned to cook most of the
meals with the assistants of my
grandmother and mom.
12. Had my family over this night for my
grandpas birthday celebration. My
grandmother and my mother helped me
cook all of the food.
13. On this day, my grandmother helped me make her
Marinated Salad for my mothers birthday
celebration.
14. On this day, my grandmother came over and we cooked
her famous sweet potato casserole, potato salad, and
her apple pie.

cookies, and my grandmotherâs brownies
16. Made dinner for my family this night. I choice my
favorite recipe from the cookbook, fried rice. I
served it with my Aunt Beckyâs Broccoli Salad. For
dessert, I made my momâs No-bake Cheesecake.

famous guacamole dip and served it to
my sister and her friend for a late
midnight snack.
