to speak and make other understand.
Yes, we can do it by writing 5 rupees 75 paise
as Rs. 5.75 and 7 rupees 50 paise as Rs. 7.50

3.  DECIMAL
FRACTION- The fraction in which
the denominator are 10, 100, 1000, etc…,
are decimal fraction.
 EXAMPLE- 3 , 5 , 48 , etc…, are decimal
fraction 10 100 1000
 DECIMALS-
The numbers expressed in
decimal form are called decimal number or
simply decimal.
 EXAMPLE- 52.0, 93.5, 3.6, etc…, are decimal.

4. LIKE AND UNLIKE DECIMALS
 Like- Decimals having same number of
decimal places are called like decimals.
 Example- 9.82, 5.70, 4.89 and 7.50 are like
decimals
 UNLIKE- Decimals having different
numbers of decimal places are called unlike
decimals.
 Example- 98.2, 49.70 and 5.489 are unlike
decimals

5. CONVERTING UNLIKE TO LIKE DECIMAL
 Example- Convert 5.3, 7.19, 0.376, 84 into
like decimal
 Solution- In the given number, the
maximum number of decimal places is 3.
So, we convert each number into 3 decimal
places by adding 0 in it.
 5.3= 5.300, 7.19= 7.190, 0.376 will remain
same and 84= 84.000

7. PLACES
If we show units by block then one unit is one block, 2 units are
two blocks and so on. One block is divided into 10 equal parts
