Healthy diet
1. A healthy diet is the basis for a well-functioning body
because food is the source of energy for our body to
functions which affects how our bodies and minds
function in everyday situation.
2. The food pyramid helps us receive all the nutrients our growing body needs
each day.
These 5 food groups are:
Other- Fats, oils and sweets
Protein - this includes lean meat, fish, poultry, eggs, nuts, legumes
Dairy - this includes milk, yoghurt, and cheese
Fruit and Vegetable
Grains - this includes bread, cereals, rice, pasta and noodles
3. Everyone need to eat a variety of different
coloured fruit and vegetable daily- which
considered of raw and cooked. The
recommended daily intake is depending on the
child age, appetite and activity levels.
4. Byeating a balance of fruit and
vegetables it give your body fibre,
vitamins and minerals and antioxidants,
which will help prevent from any disease.
5. Therefore by following the healthy dietary pyramid
and exercising regularly would help us to have a
longer life span, which would lead to better
achievement in school that result to a happier
healthier life.
