Adding a class
You cannot add a course after the first day the class meets.

You can drop a class through Friday of the first week and still be
eligible for a refund.

Attendance and Withdrawal Policy
Students classified as “NO Show” for both of the first two weeks
will be withdrawn from the class/classes they are not attending
and your financial aid will be adjusted. If you withdraw from a
class after the withdrawal deadline you will receive a “WF”

Grading and Repeat Course Policies
•

To successfully complete a course,
you have to have an A, B or C in the
class. And while it is true that “C’s
will get degrees” they may
disqualify you from some academic
programs.

•

And while you may be able to
repeat a class that you get a D or
an F in, Florida law does not allow
students to repeat courses for
which a grade of “C” or higher has
been earned.

Why do we have an Academic Standing Policy?
Save money - Students who maintain good academic standing typically save money
and remain eligible for financial aid. (This policy closely aligns with the Standards
of Academic Progress that must be met to receive financial aid.)
Graduate from college - Students who maintain good academic standing also have
a better record of completing a degree than those who do not. Our goal is to put
you in the best possible position to receive your degree or certificate.
