allowing you to reveal the items below, but also
to control which items appear above or below

isolated in view, toggled out of view, or locked

3. On your timeline, click the button in the
bottom left corner to create a new layer.
You can click on the ‘trashcan’ icon to delete
the currently selected layer on the timeline.
4. You can also create groups of layers inside a
folder; click the create layer folder item on
the bottom left corner to do so.
5. Layers quickly become unmanageable unless
you name them all; double click the name of
the layer to change it.
6. You can sort the order of your layers by
dragging and dropping it into place.
You can lock layers by clicking the box next to
the padlock or show/hide layers by doing the
same on the eye icon.
You can customise the colour of the layers by
double clicking the colour swatch.
7. Select the item on the
stage you wish to put on
its own unique layer.
Right click and choose
the option ‘Distribute To
Layers’
You can select multiple
objects at any one time,
placing each in its own
unique layer.
8. Take your project from the first PAL task and
‘distribute to layers’.
Name each of your layers with an appropriate
name.
Take a screenshot and upload it to Moodle.
Remember to keep it under 1Mb in size and in
JPEG format.
