Special Education Goals Goal 2:  Commitment to an inclusive, satisfying, and productive learning environment (district goals 2 & 3) SMART goal  During the 2011-2012 school year, the Special Education Advisory Subcommittee will develop  professional development offerings to include state mandated trainings as well as district specific trainings. The goal will be measured by the number of participants, workshop feedback, and  evidence of implementation to be reviewed at the end of each semester.

Special Education Goals Goal 3: Promote a satisfying and productive partnership with families and community (district goal 4) SMART goal: During the 2011 2012 school year the Special Education Advisory Subcommittee will create and pilot a survey instrument to evaluate parents’ IEP experience. The goal will be measured by the completion of the survey instrument by April 2012.

Strategic Plan Implementation Special Education Goal 1: Ensure an efficient, effective and equitable continuum of services (district goals 1& 5) Special Education Goal 2: Commitment to an inclusive, satisfying, and productive learning environment (district goals 2 & 3) Special Education Goal 3: Promote a satisfying and productive partnership with families and community (district goal 4)
  • 14. August 2011: The Special Education Advisory Committee will reconvene in August. Subcommittees will finalize their action plans and timeline. Fall 2011: The Special Education Advisory Subcommittees will implement action plans. January 2012: The subcommittees will report progress to the Special EducationAdvisory Committee. Spring 2012: Completion of action plans and report progress to the Board of Education. Next steps…
