3. The cranial bones make up the protective frame of bone around the brain, the cranial bones are: frontal, parietal, temporal,occipital, sphenoid, ethmoid.

4. And the facial bones makeup the upper and lower jaw and other facial structures are mandible, maxilla, palatine, zyogmatic, nasal, lacrimal, vomer.

6. Hand bones are also called metacarpus. The bones in the fingers are called phalanges.

7. The fingers have three phalanges and the thumb has two. These joints allow the finger to flex.

9. The arm is made up of three bones. These are the ulna, radius and humerus.

10. In the humerus grooves hold the top of the biceps in place.

11. At the shoulder are two bones that form the shoulder joint. These are the clavicle (collar bone)and the scapula (shoulder blade).

13. The spine is made of separate irregular bones called vertebrae.

14. The vertebrae are made up of spongy bone surrounded by a layer of compact bone.

15. In between each vertebrae is a layer of compact bone.

16. There are twenty six vertebrae in the spine.

18. The sternum is a flat bone that is about 6 inches long.

19. The ribs curve around from the spine to the front of the of the body.

20. Your rib cage is made up of 12 vertebrae , 24 ribs and a breastbone in three parts.

22. These bones are called the ilium, ischium, and pubis. When you are born, these three bones are separated. As you get older, they begin to join together.

24. The tibia is the strongest bone in the body. The thinner bone is fibula and helps to control the movement of the ankle.

25. The bone that is at the middle of leg is the patella or knee cap.

27. The bones in the toes are shorter and fatter than bones in the fingers.

28. This helps us to balance on two feet. The seven bones in are ankles are called tarsal bones.

29. The main part of the foot is made of metatarsal bones.
