2. KEY DECISIONS THAT WE MADE ABOUT
PREPRODUCTION/PRODUCTION AND
POSTPRODUCTION
 PREPRODUTION- Firstly we researched horror
films and the sort of things this genre includes using
Google and YouTube. We then decided to created a
script on a software called Celtx, followed by a shot
list on Excell.
 PRODUCTION- During the production
we decided to create our film on Final Cut Express
 POSTPRODUCTION- After we had finished our film we then uploaded this onto
Blogger and YouTube so that people can view our film.

3. TECHNOLOGIES THAT WE
USED
 The first technology that we used was Google and
YouTube. These were used to research different films and to
find out more about the type of genre we chose for our film.
After, we used a site called Blogger to upload our research that
we collected in relation with our film. Our next stage was then
to create a script for our film. To do this we used a software
called Celtx. Once we had completed our script it meant that
we could start to film our film. When filming we used a
Panasonic HD camcorder. Finally, to edit our film we used
Final Cut Express.

4. WHAT WAS SUCCESSFUL?
 The first thing I found successful
was Celtx. Celtx was very useful to us
because it meant that as a group we
could create a script easily with the
correct layout which meant that when
reading the script it was very clear and
understandable.

5. WHAT WAS SUCCESSFUL?
 Another technology that was successful was final cut
express. This was successful because it meant that we could
upload all our shots and place them together adding in edits
and effects. We also were able to crop a lift shot that we
realised had a persons head in the top corner that shouldn’t be
there. This saved us having to reshoot this scene. However, a
disadvantage was that this is the first time our group members
had used this software and it is very complicated to get used
to especially when learning how to use edits.

6. WHAT HAVE I LEARNED?
 From using these Technologies I have
learned how to use and post things onto
blogger as well as being able to edit our
blog to personalise it to us.
 How to construct a script on celtx by
using the correct formats e.g Action,
Character, Text

 I have also learned how to use final
cut express to edit our film and put it
all together
 Another thing I learned on final cut
express is how to add in effects such as
saturating the colour and adding in
things such as fades and dissolves
