A Revolution is a big change in power or structure that happens in a short amount
of time in human history.
2. Magna Carta
The Magna Carta is an English charter, That
was a document created for the purpose of
limiting the powers of the monarch and
preserving the basic legal rights of all free men
in England. The Magna Carta was written for
the country of England it was originally issued
in the year of 1215 and reissued later in the
13th century in modified versions. This English
charter made up the rule of law by
establishing the principle of no taxation
without a representative this came with the
limited power the Magna Carta put on the
power of the monarchies. By the powers being
limited for the monarchies this made that
nobody was above the law so the magna
Carta was a form of the rule of law .
3. Glorious
Revolution
The Glorious Revolution also known as the
Revolution of 1688 was the overthrow of King
James ll of England by a union of English
Parliamentarians with William the 3rd. This
Revolution was taken place in the British Isles
in England (Spain) where William the 3rd of
Orange- Nassau took place as king of
England.The document that changed the
power of kings forever was the Magna Carta
because it limited the power of the kings.
4. The English Bill
Of Rights
The English Bill Of Rights was an act of the
Parliament of England. The English Bill Of
Rights was written on September 25th 1789.
These rights spelled out the immunities of
the people.These rights also guaranteed
freedom of religion to all the people.
5. The
Enlightenment
The Enlightenment was an intellectual monument
in the 18th century in the country of Europe. The
goal of the Enlightenment was to establish an
Authoritative in ethics, Aesthetics, and knowledge
based on and Enlightenment. This Enlightenment
took place during the 18th century. This is very
important to history because this Enlightenment
set the rules for our government and gave us a
type of guidelines to live by.
6. Charles-Louis
Montesquieu
Charles Louis Montesquieu
was from La Bréde, near
Bordeaux. He was highly
famous for his Articulation of
the theory of separation of
powers.
7. John Locke
John Locke was from
Wrington, England he lived
from 1632-1704. The Natural
Law and the Natural Rights
fallow from the nature of man
and the world. Stating that we
have the right to defend
ourselves and our property
because of the kind of animals
that we are.
8. Jean Jacques
Rousseau
Jean Jacques Rousseau was
from Geneva, Switzerland. Her
life span was from 1712-1778.
The Social Contract was the
principles of political right and
it pretty much had all the
rights dealing with the rules of
political rights.
9. Thomas
Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson was from
Shadwell, Virginia. Thomas
Jefferson was most famous for
writing the first draft of Thomas
Edison. Jefferson switched the
words from property to the
pursuit of happiness because the
aspects of the phase fits better
with the rights of the sovereign
men and it gave more liberty and
freedom to the phrase jefferson
thought.
