3- What kind of
media institution
might distribute
your media
product and
why?
Our group looked into different films in the genre that we
chose. Two franchises that are very well known are James
Bond and the Bourne series. However, other films like
Kingsman, The man from U.N.C.L.E and Safehouse also
appeared as potential candidates for inspiration.
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures
Our group felt this distribution company would
be a suitable company to distribute our film as it
distributed some of the James Bond franchise.
This was a franchise which we took a lot of
inspiration from. They are also a very well
established company and are recognised
globally.
Columbia Pictures
This was another company that helped distribute some of
the James Bond franchise and therefore we wanted to use
the same for the same reason. They too are globally
recognised and are well established in the industry.
Eon productions
This is a British distribution company which fits
into our British focused narrative of the whole
film. Again they too partly distributed some of the
James Bond series. We felt they would be a
good addition to our product and therefore we
included them in our sequence.
Universal Pictures
We considered Universal Pictures as they have
distributed other successful films in our genre in
the Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and
The Bourne Ultimatum. These films were
extremely successful and were very much
inspiration for our film. Again these are well
established names in the industry.
