he released his first record label album
‘The Slim Shady LP’`

He was a white rapper in a
predominantly black music genre –
Turned Some heads.

His content was controversial
E.G Mosh- Song about George Bush
People were scared to express their
honest opinion- Eminem was not so
people could identify with his views.

move and share music with friends and family.

Itunes was released along side with
the first Ipod this allowed people to
store their music and transfer their
music with in seconds
In the 2000’s gang culture in London was
more accepted by the youth.
The youth were inspired by the American
gang culture- Bloods and Crips
Youths were exposed to this by websites such
as YouTube and TV channels like MTV which
showed music videos by gangsters
E.G Snoop Dogg, The Game, Ice Cube, Lil
Wayne
East London communities looked up to
these artists and wanted to that
lifestyle of Drugs, money and Girls.
This brought in a new genre of
music ‘grime’.
Grime started out in Bow, East
London-with artists such as Dizzie
Rascal
Grime was used to express the artists
feelings and struggles and what area they
were from
